I have a Hot Wheels "Dodge Neon Dragster", which is one of a series of ten (I don't remember exactly what they're called...I'm new to this whole scene). But I just can't figure out if it's supposed to be one of those funky FWD dragsters, like Pro FWD Class, or if it's just a standard RWD dragster with "Neon" skinning, etc. I've found pictures of certain FWD darg Neons, like Shaun Carlsons, but this car looks different. It's white and says "Dodge" down the side instead of "Mopar", and is quite a bit wider and lower than a car built on a real Neon chassis would be. Also, underneath you can see a driveshaft and rear differential. I don't know how much you can rely on that for accuracy though. Oddest of all, both front and rear wheels are the same size...usually on a Pro dragster the driven wheels would be a lot bigger than the undriven ones. Since Hot Wheels seems to like putting giant rear wheels on cars that probably shouldn't have them in all accuracy, it is odd that they'd leave them off a car that was intended from the start to be a drag racer.
Any Hot Wheels collectors or drag racing enthusiasts out there who know anything about this car, or even it's class? It is low and wide, and has either wheelie bars or traction bars on the back, plus a big opening for a turbo in the front bumper.
Actually, Pro FWD cars use traction bars too. So, not so obvious. On FWD cars, they are set to push down and keep the front wheels glued to the track, and kill wheelhop.
