I am 37 weeks today and I just went in for an ultrasound because my doctor was unsure of the baby's position. Luckily, the baby moved and is head down, but the ultrasound predicted she was already 7 lbs, 14 ounces. They said that makes her in the 90th percentile for size as the average baby at 37 weeks is 7 pounds. They told me that the ultrasound predictions are not always accurate so I'm hoping she's not quite that big already as the doctor said they can gain about a half pound per week so she could end up being close to 10 lbs if she stays in there until her due date! Her fluid was on the lower end of average so he ordered another ultrasound a week from today to check it again and I'm assuming they'll check her weight again as well. I'm just wondering for those of you who also had an ultrasound close to your due date, how accurate did the weight prediction end up being?
