how can i contact my spirit animal?

iv seen him 2 times when i was younger but i was afraid since i had no clue what it was and why it was near me. iv tryed meditation but that dose not work and i cant rely try astral projection because once im asleep it feels like i close my eyes for like 30 sec then its the morning. i feel i dont dream anymore well sometimes i do dream but its not much at all. the closest i can do is have a obe while im awake but i can only get so far then its like i hit a brick wall. iv been trying and trying for a couple years now and im getting frustrated can i force it or can something elce force it? iv searched him up online but iv not been able to find much on him. he is a black wolf with dark blue eyes. he is the only spirit animal i know of and been able to contact. any help?
