how can i delete recently texted numbers on lg rumor touch?

when I go to send a message, it brings up a list of recently texted numbers... how do I delete some of them? There's too many! I tried deleting contacts but the number stayed!

Yes but you have to do it through the settings menu and have to delete all of your inbox messages as well. Settings > Reset/Delete > type in the last 4 digits of your phone number > Delete Stuff > Messages.
