How can I delete samsung pantheon on my spica?

i bought samsung spica yesterday. samsung pantheon is draining my battery. the pantheon is using 91% and android system 9%. i read somewhere that launcherpro is good. if i will install laucherpro, is it safe to delete samsung pantheon? or should i delete it? i don't know how to root...
