It has that new CVT transmission and I am still learning how to optimize mileage with that. I put 125 highway miles on the car every day so every little bit helps. I already do keep up the recommended maintenance schedule including oil changes, tire rotations, air and fuel filters, etc. Using cruise control for highway driving seems to give me about 1 more mpg than not using it. I WAS using regular unleaded (no ethanol) which really helped until they stopped selling it around here. Now all I can find is 10% ethanol gas, which gives me 10% lower mpg (22 mpg, down from 25 mpg without ethanol). What else can I do? Vehicle has 27k miles on it.
