I'm 17, and I've never had a job before, mainly because my mom wouldn't let me and all that crap. Anyways, I have applied for like 23 restaurant jobs and places like Kroger and walmart. It's been like 2 weeks and nobody has called me in for an interview or nothing. I cannot get hired for some reason, probably due to no work experience. That wouldn't be a problem if my mom would have let me go get a job when I wanted to at 15.
So, I don't know what to do. I've applied everywhere and some places around where I live aren't hiring. It's not that I've never wanted to work (trust me, I've been anticipating getting a job). I want to get a job because it's getting harder to support my everyday needs and school, because my mom always blows everything we have.
Can anybody give me some advice, tips, etc on how to get hired at my age? It's really hard. Most appreciated.
