How can I get live surveillance feed on my computer with a handheld camcorder?

My camcorder is Pure Digital and holds 30 mins. I thought it would be cool to have surveillance though. (Especially for Christmas Eve) ... Hey there Santa! LOL

Some cd and dvd burning program have what your looking for like sonic, and power dvd. Which allows you to hook up a camera, camcorder, dvd etc. that allows you to burn it to the hard drive
