My mom just bought me these Red-Eared Slider turtles that has been said to be 6 months old after traveling to LA two days ago. After driving back home (6hour drive) i noticed one had bubbles coming out of his nose when breathing. The other turtle had her eyes closed and was inside her shell ever since we were in the road for two hours. I researched and cleaned their container, added one small guppy for them to eat, placed fresh warm water and cleaned smooth rocks in the container on the side, and dropped human eye drops in their eyes(was said that it was okay). Since it was sort of a surprise gift i didnt have the materials for them(planning to buy things for them on Thrusday) They haven't eaten anything ever since they were bought by my mom and is always on the rocks, eyes closed, shut inside their shells. The owner gave my mom a small bag of pellets for the turtles and said to feed those to them 2 times a week of the pellets(2 pellets per turtle each week, since i have two its 4 pellets each week). The boy turtle has been opening his eyes but closing them after about 20 seconds they have been open. My parents and i cant afford to see the vet so do you guys have any advice for me to help them? Im just a middle schooler so im not very good at this and my parents don't know much about animals. The turtles are living in a small container but we are planning to buy the right things for my pets. The girl turtle's eyes are shut completely and both of them didnt eat a thing. They still shift around the rocks but does nothing eles. Please help me with any helpful advice, thank you.
