I am going to be getting a female ferret in about a week. Since I was a child, I have wanted a Siberian Husky. But I wouldn't dream of getting one until I have a house with a yard big enough for it (5+ years from now). I know that Huskys are a hyper breed and instinctively hunt smaller animals. This is looking years into the future but owning a husky isn't something I want to give up. I know there is a right way to introduce a ferret (who will most likely be a senior pet at that point) to a Husky, but how could I do it?
