How can I majorly improve on my freestyle rap?

Because sometimes when I am in a rap battle, I just go blank sometimes, and find it quite difficult to freestyle.
 
choose alot of your favorite beats you would always want to flow off of then listen to em and formulate something in your head. then keep going over and over til you get it. then you'll have so much material. you can also write down stuff too(there's nothign wrong with writting down bc alot of there rapper's "freestyles" are written or used on a song w/o ppl knowing) then you'll have it down packed.
