How can I place my satellite radio antenna so it doesn't scratch my paint?

I recently got a new vehicle and wanted to put my satellite radio antenna on the outside of the vehicle, however, after taking it off my old car I see how badly it scratched it. Is there something I can put under the antenna and it will still hold onto the vehicle?
