How can I save my SHSH blobs if my iPhone 4G iOS 4.1 is not jailbroken?

I have an iPhone 4G iOS 4.1 that is not jailbroken. How can I save my SHSH blobs via Cydia if my iPhone is not jailbroken? Also, if an iPhone is jailbroken, do you have to plug it into the computer for it to turn on?
