Well I do not know about much of the compatibility with Google maps and Macs, so I would suppose you had PC like the rest of the world. Here is a nifty trick I learned not to long ago that is very simple. Okay we all know that every button on are computer inputs a special command, and some commands are stranger than others but useful. There is a button called "Print Screen" also called "SysRq," this little button does so much wonder for me when I am doing stuff for my Gaia Art Shop (MMOG). It takes everything visible on your screen and turns it into a picture file called .JPEG and posts it to clipboard for pasting later. I would recommend you paste it to the program Paint which is under Start>All Programs>Accessories>Paint or go to Run and type "%SystemRoot%\system32\mspaint.exe" without quotes. Then once paint opens go to edit at the top click paste and it will appear below. You may re size it and what not and then you can save it wherever by whatever name you please.

Download Google Earth, It is a better version of Google Maps, you can view it on your computer, you do not need to be online I think this will work best for you. It has everything google maps has plus more.
