How can I share files with another Computer via the internet?

I am trying to send about 200 MB to another person but its is too big for email, I know about pando and other type programs but I am trying to send it directly to another computer and don't want to upload to another site, Is there any way they can just type in My IP address and go to those files and use a FTP or something, Looking for something kinda like the old days when we had modems and there were just the two computers hooked up and yopu could send files directly though the terminal.

You could use a messenger service (ie. Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger). Of course you can only use this if both of you have a logon name. Once you are logged in click on the send file icon and select the files you would like to send. I have found this very useful.
