How can I start eating healthier?

I'm not fat or anything. I swear! I'm 14, 5ft 5in, and I weigh about 105. (So I'm not fat! :P)
So my question is how can I start eating healthier. I eat WAY to much junk food. For example, today I ate 2 cupcakes, (they were small, and it was for a b-day party) and 2 popsicles.
So here are my basic questions.

- How can I start eating healthier, what are the steps to eating healthier.

- What are some healthier alternatives to sugary snacks?

- (I am always craving sugar) How can I stop craving the sugar?


Thanks! I really need help with this! I don't want it all to come back and bite me in the butt when I'm 40 and am still eating like this and gaining weight! Hahaha! Thanks so much!
I would appreciate a thoughtfull answer. Not just, "get rid of sugar"... Ya get what I'm saying?

I used to eat a lot of junk food, but when I started going to the gym it helped me concentrate on keeping my whole body healthy inside and out so I started substituting my favorite snacks for something more nutritious. going to the gym helped me become more health concious of the foods I eat. Also, If you're at a party and there are cupcakes and a veggie platter on the table, choose the veggies, ditch the cupcakes. You will find you have more energy and feel better about yourself at the same time.
