In the last year or so, whenever I play a DVD on my Compaq laptop, the DVDs image that is being played slows right down (so it is out of sync with the sound) and then suddenly speeds up to catch up again. I have tried cleaning the CD player and close down any unnecessary programs that may be using up memory/ CPU but neither of this seems to be helping. I have also installed the latest cyberlink and changed the sound settings (which some website suggested and it did help briefly but started playing up again) but this didn't help either. Can anyone help me?
