...Radiator myself w/o removing it? I flushed the Radiator on my 1986 BMW 325es myself. It was fun. That car was a manual. It is one of the best cars ever. I detached the lower hose, then upper hose. I ran water through it from a garden hose until it came out clean the other side. Then I ran it through the engine, same thing (left hoses attached. I then put a gallon of pre-mix 50/50 green Ethylene Glycol in, reattached hoses, let it run with cap off to get rid of air pockets for like 5 minutes, filled, revved, and filled again, and put cap on. Voila.

Now I have a 19995 Ford Escort 1.9L AT. It is not a Manual.....the Automatic trans has lines that run to the Radiator?

I wonder how hard it is go get to the Lower Hose. I would replace the hoses, but I would like to run the water through it until it comes out clear (takes awhile, i know,) but I wonder:

1) What will i need to do this myself;
2) Is it hard,
and 3) can I do it wothout removing the radiator?

The only other thing I can do is have a shop do the Flush and Fill for $90. Can I do it myself, I would have to buy Everything and it would be the first time on an Auto,,,,,
