How can you argue that the U.S. *is* a Christian nation?
Let's just say the Founding Fathers were Christian (although there is evidence to suggest that many of them were Deists) and that this country was founded with the intent of it being forever...Christian. Okay. Well, let's look at now. Christianity is a dying force in America, being replaced by the agnostics, the atheists, the non-religious...and of the so-called Christians in America, most of them are Christian in name only. Just tell me, how can you possibly argue for this country being one of Christianity, when our principles are firmly based in diversity, religious, cultural, political or otherwise? RLP Queen of Hearts, where in my question do you see anything about Islam? Fun fact for you: "E Pluribus Unum" was originally the National Motto. It wasn't until 1965, under Eisenhower, when that was changed to, "In God We Trust."
