...heater in your Ford truck is working? I have a 2000 Ford Ranger that the heater is not working the fan is blowing but cold air is coming out and the switch seem to be working the AC works and it changes the air direction from defrost to the vents but don't know if the valve is opening or closing in the engine compartment i take off the vacuum hose and it don't seem like its sucking or creating a vacuum
 
you dont have a heat valve.these were done away with trs ago.you have a blend door,a heater core and an engine thermostat.if your guage reads normal,its the heater core or blend door.
 
Make sure you have plenty of antifreeze in your radiator. It will blow cool air if its really low or dry.
