How can you increase the speed of your internet connection?

i was wondering of increasing the speed of my internet connection for my laptop for web surfing and watching videos. I'm currently a Cox Communication's customer for the highseed internet (not priemier). and i have a Linksys G router for wireless connection.

Would applying to the priemier plan increase the speed more than getting an N router??

Also, what other ways are there to increase the speed of my internet connection??

I think for increasing the internet speed you should follow following tips.It will helpful for you.First,Don't expect dial up or moderate speed service to be fast. The Internet is primarily geared towards Broadband Connections, which is about 512kbs or higher Sometimes, you have to wait a little.And second,Disable Web browser add-ons that can slow down your Internet connection speed. Check to see if you have multiple Web browser add-ons operating with your browser.
