How come my Android keeps on deleting ringtones I downloaded?

So I download a bunch of ringtones, but then when I shut down the cell phone, the next time I start it up the things I downloaded are gone. Does it have something to do with my SD card or something? plz help thx!

Connect with "airdroid" app to your computer and check whether the ringtones are available in music library or some other libraries like the default download location or default ringtone location.
