How come my ipad 2 is low on memory?

Well i was downloading songs onto my ipad 2 only like 4 but the i finished and it said i had no memory left and i had 6gb left i dont know whats wrong because all i downloaded was songs,anyone else have this problem?and my ipad is jailbroken by jailbreakme.com
 
have you been closing apps that has been running in the background? double tap home button btw
