How come no one in MMA uses that bird move like Daniel son did in Karate Kid?

[QUOTE="tooter, post: 746497, member: 210609"] Remember towards the end of the movie where Daniel- Son stands like a bird on one leg and throws that amazing kick that Mr. Miagi taught him? Well it looked cool and obviously was effective so why is it not used today?.....Even though I've never taken Karate I'll dress up as a ninja and get in Daniel -son's bird stance and stare at myself in the mirror getting shivers up my spine. Basically I've perfected/practiced the move but would only use it in extreme cases of self defense. The wax on-wax off method is also good for strengthening wrist muslces for throwing punches. Strange but you can learn alot from watching the Karate Kid ( part 1 only )...Part 2 takes place in Okinawa and I'm a little hesistant about trying the moves viewed in it, they look a little Hollywood induced.
