How did I manage to mute my Blackberry (8830)?

I can't hear music on it, though I can see that the songs are playing. The volume is up, but the speaker icon is not on. I've been hitting the mute button, but it only pauses/plays the songs. When I get calls, it does play the song I set as the ringer. What am I missing?
