...universe coming about by chance? "The calculations of British mathematician Roger Penrose show that the probability of universe conducive to life occurring by chance is in 10^10123. The phrase "extremely unlikely" is inadequate to describe this possibility..."

This has been used by creationists (Ironically, both Christians and Muslims alike) to support a case for religion.

How was this calculation made? What are your thoughts about it? And does it really point to a deliberate designer, or are there other possibilities?
