When i say Christianity, I'm referring to the set of beliefs, don't get hung up on words.( I personally believe that much of what is understood to be Christianity today is absolutely pagan.) I am aware that there are several versions of Christ-like stories that come before the guy from 2010 years ago. Being born of a Virgin, performing miracles, having 12 disciples, being crucified and the resurrection among other things were all said to have happened before the religion we know today. (for instance, written on hieroglyphics which are much more ancient) I would really like to hear answers from Christians if possible, to see their take on it.
I do believe in God, but i'm trying to figure out which one... please do not bash this question, i only seek truth
You misread the question, the hieroglyphics have a similar story to Jesus', with a fellow called Horus. Only his story was written more than 2010 years ago... That is the point
Not all stories match up, but the google these names and you will see that their stories are older, and some of the things that happened are very in line with things that are supposed to be exclusive to Jesus' being. Romulus, Dionysus, Glycon, Zoroaster, Attis... there are more too
Thanks, Vincent. I was worried that i would not get an intelligent response at all. Please feel free to follow the example of not making fools of yourselves, but give an actual explaination
"Recall that at some point he will be sending a powerful delusion so the unbelievers will believe a lie. " - Vincent
So how do we know which one is a delusion? I thought the delusions came AFTER the real thing, not before...
