...to be in style later? If the time period for the movie is supposed to be the present, and it's supposed to be a high fashion movie, such as The Devil Wears Prada or Sex And the City, how do the designers know what's going to be stylish when the movie comes out, considering production of a movie can take at least a year, sometimes more?

i have seen the devil movie, and it is well done,

this is my opinion and is certainly not the final answer so take it for what it is worth. in fashion, often times what you see being worn is still in fashion to the majority of people since it takes a time for something new to come around,

also, keep in mind that most of what passes for new fashion is the same old rehash from a few years back, there is very little new on the scene
