How do I burn a DVD/where can I get programing to do it?

I'm looking to burn a DVD consisting of a WMV file and AVI files. Yet, I can't seem to find any good programing that will accept these files. Cucusoft says it accepts them, but when I try and put them on it tells me they won't work...and I tried burning it through iTunes, but they won't let me import WMV or AVI files either...
I'm not looking for anything I have to pay for though, so free downloads are very much appreciated. Or even an online site where I can do this without downloading would be wonderful! Thank you so much!

Nero is the program...Ahead Nero. Google it for the link. You can get it free if you are not completely new to the internet. Wink Wink.
 
NERO dvd burner program can do it. It is free as you buy a DVD burner from any shop.
 
I use Windows Movie Maker. I have Nero and use it for some things, but WMM seems to like me better or something.
