how do i burn movie files that wont burn to dvd?

some movies burn fine with no problem but some wont burn to dvd.i can watch it but cant burn em. is there any way to get them to burn. any software thats easy to use. is there something out there that recodes the video. please help
 
You can not put a movie like AVI, on a DVD and watch it. You need to convert it to DVD format, DVD Santa is a great program to do that, also X to DVD is another, any movie or picture burned to a DVD is just a file that is stored there and can not be played or viewed, I hope this helps, and I am understanding your question clearly.
