How do I change to the landscape keyboard on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10?

I just bought the Sony Ericsson X10. I like it, but I can't type on the keyboard. I was able to turn the phone sideways to change to landscape, but it randomly stopped switching to landscape and I don't know how to make it go back. Is there some button I can press or something to make it go to landscape?
