connections on both, receiver and TV? I am creating slide shows with Photodex's software "ProShow Gold" and it burns the DVD 720x480. I like to display it on my Sony TV ( KV-36 XBR450) with a better quality than 720x480. My TV can not produce 1080p, only 1080i - 480p and a 480i which can be displayed as 408p or 960i. Also the TV has no HDMI connection, neither does my Yamaha receiver. Both TV and receiver have component connections. The receiver has also a optical connection. If I would buy a Blue Ray player could I still up convert my DVD's (slide shows) without HMDI cables? I am not ready yet to buy a new TV and receiver. Please help. Thank You!
