Im using 4 magnets and hand spun copper coils, that are bring used to power a small motor that propels a toy car. i can get plenty of AC volts (almost 10) but when i try to convert it to DC it loses almost all of the power and the motor doesnt turn at all. its a very small motor and can run off a 9V battery. the project im doing states that i cannot use batteries. i must create the electricity to power the car. i am using a funnel to shoot water at the blades of a turbine that turns a dowel connected to the magnets. There is a super capacitor on the toy car that charges and propels the car. i am using a bridge rectifier that i got at radio shack to convert the volts. should i be using something different? id like to keep my design any help would be greatly appreciated.
