How do i cook my chicken so it won't be red on inside and burnt on outside?

I use a flat cookie sheet, put foil at bottom to lay meat on top.

i cook the meet on 325 degrees for 1 hr.

i take it out. it's very burnt on the outside, and still red on the inside.

what's wrong?
do you think i should cut it up before i cook it?
it's small chicken breasts.
