The thing is, her son and I are not even married yet and she is always asking us when the wedding is. I think one of the reasons he proposed to me was because she was pressuring him.
Anyway, we just had a baby and I feel like his mother is so possessive over the baby. She calls it her baby and won't let anyone else hold her when she is around. She gives the baby a bath and changes her clothes without asking me. I can't even breastfeed my baby in peace because she tells me that "time is up" and it's her turn to hold the baby. She wants to visit ALL THE TIME and spend the night and I can't ever tell her no because she gets upset. She told my fiancee that I don't have a say in when she comes over because we are not married, but it's still my baby she is coming to see. I feel like she acts like it is her baby and I am just the whore that gave birth. She has called me a self centered child and I can't stand to be around her knowing that that is how she views me. I know I am going to have to deal with her for the rest of my life, but I don't know how. I feel like my fiancee does not stick up for me like he should. I really hate arguing and confrontation, but I have really had it with her. Am I in the wrong here??? I want her to be able to spend time with the baby, but how often is enough?? I've told her before the things she does that bother me, but I don't think she listens. HELP ME!!!!!
