Don't bother - p2p is highly illegal and full of viruses. And Macs have viruses too. Don't think that you're immune at all.

Though P2P is often used illegally, P2P can often be used to distribute data through the mainstreams easier. P2P programs for torrenting (legal stuff of course 
) have may varieties, though the two I would recommend would be Transmission and Azureus, just google around for the websites. Transmission is extremely lightweight and simple whereas Azureus allows for high amounts of customizability. I hope I helped.
