How do I enhance the stereo effect on a mp3 that i want to enhance?

I am wanting to enhance a mp3, and it is already in stereo, but the stereo image is barley noticeable, unless i listen to it carefully. I've also done the karaoke effect on my MP3, to listen to what sounds are not in mono, and i noticed that the non-mono sounds i heard from it was good details in the song that the MP3 was missing. Is there a way/program to enhance the stereo image, by enhancing the volume of the separated (non-mono) audio data from my MP3 using the existing stereo separating data, without the simulating stereo effect?
