my dad left 12 years ago when i was 5. i'm 16 and i'm a junior in high school. he left my five siblings, an alcoholic mom and me behind so he can marry his mistress and start a new family. since my dad left my mom had a break down and she started having a drinking problem. my brother who is one year older than me had to take care of us. my dad recently came back and he wanted to have full custody of us. we thought that it was best if he did have full custody since our mom is never around and when she is she is always drunk and with a man. my older brother who took care of us decided to stay with our mom and help her with her drinking problem.
we have move to a new state so we can live with him. his house is nice for a four bedroom house. my sisters have to share a room with our half sister and our half sister is 8 and they are 12 and 15. their room is pink and is a princess theme room. then he makes us macaroni because he thought that it was our favorites. it hasn't been since we were kids. my dad's wife made a coconut cake and my younger brother is allergic to coconut. we had to rush him to the ER. i'm starting to think this move was a bad idea.
i know he is trying to make up for his mistake but i still hate him. My older brother had to go through so much, we had to go through so much because of him. i can't help but think of all the things that he missed. i know he is trying to get to know us but i can't help but think that he should have known these things because he is our dad. i can't help but feel like my older brother is more of a dad then he is. i just can't help and hate my dad. i need to get over this but i don't know how. how do i forgive him for everything that he has done?
