How do I get a 4 year old to stop screaming?

After I give mine a few warning and a talking to.. id bust his buns. I know alot of people dont beleive in spanking, but maybe the threat would work.
Ours throws alot of fits also.. mostly when he doesnt get what he wants.
It used to be worse but now that he knows the rules for home and public.. its not so bad.
If your having trouble in public that can be TOTALLY embarrasing. If one of ours throws a fit in public, we walk away and let them scream. Its its to bad, they get taken outside for "the talk"

[Fed Up]

We have a 4 year old that does nothing but scream almost 24/7 for no reason at all. Does anyone know of anything we can do to deal with this? It's starting to get very stressful for everyone in the family and no one really wants to be around him. He screams at naptime, bedtime, anytime you ask him to go play, or when you say no. He just does it I think because he knows it drives you crazy. He'll throw things or punch things when you tell him to do something. We've tried making him write, be in time out, and go to his room. Nothing seems to be working. Sometimes it gets so bad it makes you want to leave and never come back! Any ideas? Could really use the help.
