how do i get blackberry messenger on my blackberry bold 9000?

ive recently bought a blackberry bold 9000 and ive been trying to set up bbm but it is not working at all. ive got an unlimited internet booster on which is also meant to give you bbm (cos my friend is on the same one) and its not working at all. no one is getting my requests and im not recieving them. its driving me crazy. im on t mobile payg.
