How do I get my child to pick up her toys after playing?

I'm a pretty strict mom and I punish Olivia (4) for not picking up her toys after playing. She still doesn't get it. Please, parents with experience, share some tips on this one.
 
Do not punish her....

Make a game out of picking up toys. Maybe make up a song to be sung only at you clean up time.

My son's 22 months old and we have just as much fun cleaning up as we do playing
