Okay so basically i met my boyfriend over a year ago we were just hooking up and he basically treated me like complete shit because i let him.. i didnt think it was really that bad considering i knew what i was getting myself into.. but my dad being my dad got protective at this time me and my boyfriend wernt boyfriend and girlfriend we were friends with benefits.. anyways after a few months of "hanging out" i grew feelings.. me and this kid i guess we were together unoffically! anyways he still continued to treat me like shit like making me pay for everything etc etc.. now after demanding respect and showing him what he has to loose if he did it again he stepped up his game! although my dad HATES him.. i am 20 years old and feel like i don't need to ask my dad for premission! i really love this kid after he has treated me much better and like the lady i am! last weekend i met his mom and she invited me to work at there art gallery so i did and i met his dad and rest of the family they all pretty much love me but they want me to bring my dad over so we all can talk about art and drink and talk and such because my dad and his family share a common interest with art! but idk how to talk to my dad my dad doesnt know i worked at his gallery last weekend he thought i was out at a friends so how do i go about telling my dad that A this kid treats me much better like a legit person and not some just some girl. and how do i tell my dad that his family wants to get together?
