How do I look up FCC power ratings for a particular handheld radio?

I'd like to be able to compare the FCC's power output (wattage) ratings of certain handheld walkie-talkie type radios, but I'm not sure how to do this. Thank you.

You will need a field strength meter, and most good ham radio shops will have them.
Unless it has been modified, the watts will also be marked on the transmit panel as required by law.
There are many types of handheld units out there today, and all vary with output.
Most of the CB variety are limited, (legal) to four watts output.
