How do i make a banner type thing on the internet?

I see on people's myspace's they have words writin in cool fonts going across their about me's. I was wondering how to do that. How can I make those things. Is there a program? If so, can you send me a link? If it's not please tell me how to do it.

It's usually cursive or something, looks like this
