how do i make my desktop icons smaller? e.g AOL?

ive tried right clicking and clickin view like some1 told me but when i right click all i see is:
Arrange Icons By >
Refresh
Undo Delete
NVIDIA Controll Panel >
New >
Properties >

PLSS HELPP
