how do i play a utorrent movie using divx?

i found a movie on btjunkie.org and downloaded it with utorrent. when i try to play the movie with divx a message pops up and reads that \downloads\american history x 1998 XviD DVDRip\American History X 1998 xviD DVDRip.avi is not a valid Win 32 application. what can i do to play my movie?

-whoever was the first to reply to this, the same message appears. and the video wont play
-the file is 700 MB and idk how to change it. i just want to watch the movie

Run it with that, to change it so it runs with that you right click on the icon of the video and go to "Open with>" and do "Choose program" then select AVI player from that list.

umm, did you change the video file so that it runs with AVI player? The video may be a virus, what size is the file? If it is under 10MB it is probably a virus
