How do i put an avi file from a hard drive onto a dvd recordable disc to use...

...as a dvd? i downloaded dirty sanchez the movie from limewire as a avi file. I got a dvd recordable disc but i'am not 100% sure how to put the avi file onto it. Can someone please help me !!!??? i have nero 8 if that helps
