I just got a new Nokia T-Mobile phone, and it is so much more complicated than my last one (also a T-Mobile). I prefer to usually just have my phone on vibrate rather than a ring tone, so that if it goes off I will notice it but it won't disturb anyone else. On my old phone, to set it on vibrate you only had to press the volume bar down several times to go from volume of ring tone to vibrate, or to silent. On my new one, you have to go Menu: Settings: Personal: Profiles, and then you choose betwen "normal, silent, meeting, outdoor, pager, offline." I still can't find an option in there for just having the phone vibrate when someone calls. You can set it to vibrate when you get a text message or missed call alert, but I can't figure out how to set it to vibrate for a phone call. This phone has some cool features but it's frustrating how complicated it is to do such a simple thing! I must be missing something; if you have a similar phone, please tell me how to do this.
Like I just specifically said in my question, John, THAT DOESN'T WORK ON MY PHONE! Would I be asking this question if my phone actually worked that way? Of course not. You're a retard.
It's a Nokia 5230 Nuron, BTW. The volume keys only work for turning up and down the volume of the speaker, not the ring tone. And holding down the # key doesn't turn on vibrate either. The keys are digital.
