Something worth trying.
Tools you'll need:
An undelete utility
A disc duplication utility that creates an exact copy of a disc in ISO format
A virtual drive utility that you can mount ISO formats on
You should be able to get free versions of each of those from www.downloads.com
First run the disc duplication utility and create an ISO file that is an EXACT copy of the disc.
Second mount that disc on a virtual hard drive.
Third run the undelete utility on the virtual hard drive's drive letter.
That MIGHT work, theoretically it is possible, but I've never done it.
Seems to me its worth a try as those 3 tools should be installed on your computer as you'll need them for something sooner or later.
If that fails you might try running the uninstall directly on the DVD but I'm not sure you can change the destinaton to undelete to and I don't know of any undelete programs that will work directly on the DVD.
FYI: I recommend Data Recovery to use as the undelete utility since it is free, it is only 155K, and I've used it successfully before.
