How do I remove a tight cell phone case without damaging it?

I have a leather/plastic protective case that I would like to remove from my cell phone. I have tried pulling it off but the plastic seems to stick to the cell phone's front display. The plastic stitching is already starting to rip and I do not want to cause anymore damage.
I will appreciate all suggestions.

u should take it to the company....bc if u damage it @ home it might ruin ur warranty if u have one..let them try to take it off and if they ruin it...its their fault get it?
